The Windsor Experience. The Right Choice.
Windsor Post-Acute Care Center of Hayward is a skilled nursing facility which provides short-term, long-term and rehabilitation services and strives to help our residents increase their independence and reach their highest level of functionality.
Windsor Hayward was founded on a fundamental guiding principle: Your loved one is somebody special who deserves the very best and who will be treated with the utmost respect and dignity.
What makes Windsor Hayward unique and separates us from other facilities is the ability to provide person-centered care with a loving touch. This is accomplished by having attentive and caring staff assembled.
In an effort to make as many residents feel at home as possible, our nursing staff is fluent in several languages. At least one nurse speaks Spanish, Tagalog, and Russian.

“A couple of years ago, my Dad had a stroke. He spent a few days at the hospital, and then was moved to this facility. His doctor assured us that it was nice place.
“When my mother and I came here, we were absolutely amazed at how beautiful and clean the center is. It feels more like a nice hotel then a rehab center. His room is bright and sunny with large sliding door. The staff is so friendly and very welcoming.
“The food, atmosphere and activities are top-notch. In addition the patients are treated like they are family instead of a job. This facility is a like beacon of light. My mother and I can’t recommend this place enough. We are here daily to be with Dad and we always say, the staff n all nursing and everyone here has become our extended family. We feel blessed to have Dad here.” – Jay S.
“My experience here at Windsor has been very pleasant. They people are great, from the janitors to the nurses. But the one nurse I particularly like the best is Nirmala Mahabir. She made feel so at home, I almost didn’t want to go home! She would always go out of her way to make sure I was taken care of. I have had a lot of nurses in my time, but she is the best I have ever had. Nirmala is indeed your NUMBER ONE person here and I am going to miss her.” – Michael I.
“I recently wrote a very critical review about Windsor and then I discovered a program they offer for patients and their families that have issues or concerns and they will do whatever needs to be done to resolve them. I did and they did. My mother has been in Windsor for over a month now and we could not be happier. The care is excellent, the staff is very attentive and compassionate. I wish I could give them an even higher review.” – Sandra T.
“When I first went to Windsor, there was an episode where I felt unwelcome, but after that, it was perfect. Everything was good. I recognized all the staff and the nurses. The personal staff were all good, and the physical therapy people were excellent. I would recommend Windsor.” – Valeire B.
